When Keven and I sanded back the paint in some areas on the quarter panels to straighten them, I noticed something interesting.  A pattern that looks like tree rings.  I asked Keven what it was – it is the body paint history of the car!  The silver is obviously bare metal. The next ring up – that looks like a rusty brown… that is the factory undercoating.  Then the first gray is the factory primer.  Then the green after that is the original color of the car.  Then after that you see another grey – primer again, and then another dark green on top of that.  So that means this car has been repainted the factory color at some point in its life.  Then finally we have a third grey primer layer and then the high impact lime light green color that the car wears right now.

Color history of the car!
