Ignition Box Mounted

April 8th, 2009 · No Comments

I cut off the ends of the MSD 6AL ignition box’s power leads, and extended the length of the wire by crimping on extra wire using heat shrinkable butt connectors.  Then I spent the rest of the time today mounting the 6AL box into the passenger foot well of the car.  Basically you drill 4 holes and mount the 6AL on top of the shock absorbing "feet" that comes with the box.  I had to enlist the help of my wife, Shelley – she stopped the bolts from spinning while I tightened up the nuts on the other side under the car.
