Practice Tree Program
[Update: There is now a newer version of the practice tree program! Go here for it: http://www.herboldracing.com/2009/06/21/herbold-racing-practice-tree-version-2]
Today I made a little practice tree program. I tried finding one on the internet somewhere to download, but all the ones I found that were free sucked really bad – they were more toys for giggles than true practice trees. So, I decided to channel a little bit of my free time energy into making one. It is a very simple Windows application and should run on just about everybody’s PC. It is no-frills and is geared entirely towards providing you with a way to actually practice your timing.
Download it here:

Here is a short feature list:
- Has .400 and .500 Pro and Sportsman trees.
- Left, Right, or Random lane choices.
- No opponent, or bracket style opponent, or heads up style opponent.
- Background choice of night or day.
- High precision mode toggle – with high precision mode on the software is not friendly to other background tasks running on your PC (it becomes a CPU hog).
- Setting of car roll out time, which is the time between the moment you release the brake to the moment the front tire leaves the staging beams.
- Delay box.
- Courtesy staging warning (reminds you to courtesy stage if you didn’t).
I am totally open to suggestions! To make a suggestion or give me feedback just comment on this post.

Thanks – I’ve been working on an even better one for a while, just need to find the time to finish it up. If you thought version 1.01 was great, the next one will blow you away. And yea, it will still be free.
