Nice and Dry

My apologies for not keeping my blog updated during the last two weeks.  A few things have been happening with the car!  Nate from Arizona Differential Specialist picked up my car on July 16 (a Wednesday night) and took it to his shop the next day.  He was able to work on the car without taking the car off my trailer – the dovetail on my trailer combined with the tall rear tires on the car made plenty of room to work in for him.  He discovered that the yoke was grooved which is why the pinion was leaking, so he ordered a sleeve.  He put the sleeve in on Friday and reassembled the rear end, but it wasn’t until Saturday morning when I saw my car again.  He brought my car back to my house on his day off.  I am really impressed with the service that Arizona Differential Specialist has provided and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.  In this day and age, businesses that operate like that are rarer than hen’s teeth.

If you’re wondering what a grooved yoke is, here is the answer:

Oh yes and the car does not leak any more, from anywhere.  My garage floor is now spot free!
