I went to Deer Valley Trailer again to pick up a few parts. I needed an electric brake controller, and a ball and mount for the receiver on the truck. The mount is rated at 15,000 pounds and the ball is rated at 10,000 pounds. The electric brake controller is from Hayes and it’s the digital version of the Engage line. I also picked up a trailer jack foot and some tie down straps. When I got home I realized I needed a harness adapter for the electric brake controller so I ordered one on Ebay for the Ford truck. Here are some pictures of what I got so far.

Last week I wasn’t feeling too good – I was having a hard time sleeping in any position except on my right side.  Then Thursday morning came and I decided this wasn’t going to go away.  My wife drove me to the emergency room where it was determined from a CAT scan that I had an inflammed appendix.  Two hours later I had Laparoscopic surgery to remove my appendix.  One of the first things that I thought of when I started to wake up from my anthesia-induced stupor was “Gee, I wonder how much that appendix weighed?”

A quick internet search reveals it to be approximately 1.5 grams.  That translates to 0.000033 seconds faster in the quarter mile.  Whoo hoo!

I was planning to work on my car last weekend but obviously I could not.  As soon as I feel like the stitches inside me aren’t going to rip open with the slightest physical activity, I am going to do something fun with the car.  I have a couple of things in mind.  Stay tuned!
