Parts Catalogs

I ordered a bunch of free print catalogs from various racing parts stores online when I bought the car. The last one of them arrived today. I plan to buy a print catalog from YearOne (theirs isn’t free). I took a picture of the catalogs.

What Heads Art Thou?

"a-bods" over at the Allpar.com forums asked me to take pictures of the letter that appears between the spark plugs just to see what heads they are. Looks like a "J" to me.

Trailer Hunting

After watching my kids’ soccer game this morning, my wife and I went trailer hunting.  Well… I went trailer hunting while she tagged along and pretended to be genuinely interested in my new hobby.  The first lot we hit was Mr. Trailer Sales and we asked for another quote from them – this time for an 18 foot trailer with a dovetailed rear end and a tool box up front. Electric brakes standard, of course. After we got the quote, we went half a mile down the road to Deer Valley Trailer and asked for a quote for the same trailer. Deer Valley Trailer gave us an amount that was lower by over $200 and the quality of their trailers seemed to be a little bit better. So, I went ahead and put 25% down on a trailer and told them that I’d be picking it up the next Saturday. I didn’t have the time today to use my dad’s Toyota 4Runner to bring the trailer to my uncle’s place.

Forget the Tiny Trailer

I got a call from an uncle of mine who lives very close to me, whose house is on a one acre lot not regulated by a homeowners association.  He gave me some very good news, indeed!  Basically he said, since I am the bestest nephew in the whole wide world, that he will let me store a car hauler at his place.  Well, I’m kidding about the bestest nephew part, but I am really jumping up and down with joy at this.  This means I can stop worrying about trying to squeeze a 14 foot trailer into my garage and just go for a comfortably sized one!  I’ll hit the trailer store lots as soon as possible…

More Books Shipped

Today I got an email from Amazon saying they shipped the engine and tranny books.  I sure am looking forward to them!
